What Are Intentional Communities

Intentional communities are purpose-driven groups of people who come together to live collaboratively under a shared vision or set of principles. These communities are characterized by their intentional design, where members actively choose to participate in a collective lifestyle that often diverges from mainstream societal norms. Key features include:

Collective Living: Members share resources, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.

Consensus Governance: Decisions are typically made through agreement rather than majority rule, emphasizing collaboration and communication.

Sustainability Focus: Many communities emphasize Eco-friendly practices, aiming for self-sufficiency in areas like food production and energy use.

Diverse Purposes: Intentional communities can be centered around various goals such as environmentalism, spirituality, gender equality, or economic sustainability.

Intentional communities differ from conventional neighborhoods by their deliberate structure and shared objectives. While they offer opportunities for meaningful connections and collective achievement, challenges include maintaining consensus and ensuring long-term sustainability. Examples like The Farm in Tennessee illustrate successful models, highlighting the potential of intentional living to foster innovative social structures.

Intentional communities propose the idea that true sovereignty—freedom from societal constraints, alignment with divine law, and the ability to live according to one’s values—can be achieved through a combination of intentional communities and strategic application of principles rooted in private governance. These are seen as a foundational step toward achieving sovereignty. They emphasize collective living, shared purpose, and alignment with values that transcend conventional systems. The rise of artificial and artificial general intelligence which will facilitate the replacement of white collar workers may force people to consider this type of lifestyle.

The “Matrix” or Beast System. This refers to the existing societal structures—legal, economic, and corporate frameworks—that often constrain individuals and communities, limiting their ability to operate independently.

Divine Law and the Private Realm. The statement introduces a concept of the “private realm,” governed by divine law, which allows individuals and communities to:

  • Operate outside government regulations.
  • Share resources freely without interference.
  • Conduct business informally (e.g., without forming corporations).
  • Secure wealth privately, avoiding taxes like inheritance taxes.

Exiting the Public Realm. Strategically navigating or opting out of public systems, individuals and communities can fully align with their values and operate independently under divine law. In essence, intentional communities present a vision of intentional living based on private governance and divine principles, offering an alternative to conventional societal structures.

Could the Amish Mennonites be a model for intentional communities? What about native Oklahoma Tribes? The Amish do have very self sustainable communities but the closest to community living in the United States may be Indian tribes. Many who have turned away from traditional value and ideologies but we have to consider how AI may spark historical living into a new existence.

Intentional communities do not have to be completely technology illiterate or not use technology. They will just use technology in a very different way. They need to be well aware that most centralized forms of social media and of course search engines provide massive amounts of disinformation and propaganda. The intentional community could survive without the use of internet and by solely using decentralized AI models to help solve real world problems.

The use of diesel powered machinery should not be ruled out for several reasons. Remember this is not a green movement where human society destroys the ability to produce food and energy at any reasonable cost leading to famine and depopulation. The community can actually make their own diesel although this would probably not be necessary because the extra food and resources the community provides would be plenty to trade for diesel. Those who continue to live inside the matrix should be allowed to trade with intentional communities and in the long run will likely use different digital currencies based on the different communities. Communities who offer more to trade will have higher value digital currencies. There will be many benefits such as the availability of clean food and in some instances when most corporations shut themselves down through green regulations or other stupid decisions the intentional community is used as backup to help feed the public. We are theorizing that intentional communities will produce extra food because if they are left alone to grow and operate as a free market it is very likely they will create a lot of excess.

There are plenty of forms of energy the intentional community could utilize such as solar and today we must explore technologies like small nuclear reactors and cold fusion. All of which has been suppressed from the general public but is slowly but surely becoming an option and would quickly decentralize the energy grid and food production, protecting nations from AI cyber-attacks on the power grid. Everything we discuss is a necessary reality to the survival of human civilization in an AI and soon to be super intelligence world.
